Patient Number: 12853769
Admitted: 6/23/2012
Dr.Cole

Dr.Mab
Chief Complaint: unresponsive female, age unknown, brought to ER in apparent coma
History of Present Illness: Unable to obtain history from patient. EMT personnel report that patient was reported by passersby to be wandering alone seemingly disoriented, searching for something in stairwells and alleyways. She was speaking but was mostly incoherent although EMT report that on their arrival she identified herself variously as “La Llorona,” “Yuki-Onna,” “the Ice Queen,” “the Snow Witch,” and “La Loba.” Immediately after this she is reported to have lapsed into what appears to be a coma. Other reports have her claiming she was “trying to find her way to the Ice Castle,” which, on prompting, she located in White Sands, New Mexico. She also claimed to have perished in the snow, although locally temperatures have been in the eighties.
-Review of Systems: unable to complete
-Vital Signs: BP 110/60, Pulse 51, Temperature 97.5 orally
-Physical Examination: The patient is an undernourished, weathered appearing female who did not respond to any but deep stimulus. There are no obvious injuries, bruises, fractures or other trauma. She is breathing comfortably, does not appear in any distress, and gives no evidence of what resulted in her comatose condition.
Laboratory Examinations:
-CBC, Comprehensive metabolic panel , Thyroid functions, Urinalysis and Toxic screen were all unremarkable except for a sodium of 123.
-EKG was normal, Chest X ray was unremarkable.
-Impression: Hyponatremia, rule out hypothermia
Plan:
1. Isolate in glass coffin
2. Initiate chromatherapy and ice application
3. Monitor vital signs
4. Observe reflexes, body movements and vocalizations
Duration 3.5 hours

Doctor Cole- Lizz Cole
Doctor Andres- Robert Andres (Kimmy B Monsoon)
Doctor MAB- Mariann Calonna
Performed at Lumen Festival curated by Grace Exhibition Space.
Lumen Festival was held at Atlantic Salt (an industrial venue on the north shore waterfront of Staten Island). This performance drew inspiration from chromatherapy (color therapy), sterile environments (hospitals/empty white spaces), the White Sands-New Mexico, and Myths and Stories from different cultures surrounding the female archetype. The visual setting was a surrealist emergency room and 3 doctors cared for the patient while handing out emergency room records to the viewer if questioned.
